 Max C. Torkelsen II is president of the North Pacific Union Conference, the regional headquarters for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Northwest part of the United States.
     Previously, Elder Torkelsen pastored for 15 years in Oregon, Hawaii, and Idaho and served as Communication Director of Upper Columbia Conference. He served 12 ½ years as President of Upper Columbia.
     Max has a special interest in communications strategies to accelerate the accomplishment of the gospel commission. He has personally been involved in directing the expansion of radio and television networks in the Inland Northwest, Scandinavia, and Southern Europe. He is also a co-founder of www.Bibleinfo.com and www.KidsBibleinfo.com internet ministries.
