 “What is going on?” “Why?” and “What is next?” are some of Pastor McPherson’s favorite questions. A third generation Seventh-day Adventist minister, he is firmly anchored in the Historicist system of prophetic interpretation of the Bible. He thinks that understanding the interrelationship of history and prophecy is more important now than ever before. The notion that there have always been people who understood the times and what was about to happen fascinates him. He believes that if we really desire to understand current geopolitical events, the best way is to look for clues in inspiration, then see the reality in human experience. Pastor McPherson has served the church for 41-plus years, most of that time as conference president. He and his wife Sharon have three grown sons. He enjoys airplanes and Arabian horses and all forms of transportation in between.
